The Languedoc is perfectly located in France for a multitude of activities. A choice of 5 airports and other alternative routes bring you to a region, which apart from being France's largest vineyard offers so many more activities. Being an hour from ski pistes in the Pyrenees and 45 minutes from the Mediterranean beaches.
Within the area itself are a multitude of activities for adults and children who are adventurous, such as golf, riding, canoeing, cycling and mountain biking, fresh and sea water fishing, Boat trips on the Canal du Midi, Climbing and Rambling just to mention a few.
To balance the sporting activities the region is a wealth of history starting from the Roman influence and the Via Domita, the Cathar period and the medieval atmosphere of Carcassonne and Mirepoix.
The local gastronomy can be enjoyed and there are even farmhouse inns offering courses in local cookery. You may also want to try visiting in the Foie Gras season from October - December. Don't forget to spare yourself time to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the culinary delights of our restaurant above the winery at Domaine Gayda.

International airports at Carcassonne (25 minutes) Bezier (45 minutes), Perpignan and Toulouse (80 minutes), and Montpellier (2 hours). Ryanair have cheap flights to Carcassonne, Perpignan and Montpellier. Toulouse, Carcassonne and Narbonne have mainline railway stations.
